Fragments...

I didn’t know I wanted to write.

I didn’t know I could.

Until I found I had purpose in it.

And then, what began as a trickle expanded and bubbled, became a brook that joined living waters, moved over rock and bramble and dam, through crevice and around formation, to explode in rushing, vigorous energy.

That’s what happens when you find the thing your heart was made for. When you begin to fulfill your purpose. That thing you were created for.

And just like that, it’s no longer about me. It’s about something so much more significant.

So today, and maybe just for today, we should all consider our purpose, that thing outside of ourselves to which we are called.

And tomorrow, well, when tomorrow is here, it will be today. Then we can consider it all over again.

So today, I am going to fulfill my purpose, something for which writing is only a small part, a fragment that points me back to all I can do.

So today, find your fragment. See where it points you.

See how it shows you all you can do.
